Widsense - Widget for AdSense

June 30th, 2006

As a Google AdSense publisher, checking AdSense stats is my hourly habit. Widsense is a great dashboard widget for AdSense.

Widsense

I know there is similar Mozilla Firefox extension that do the same, but I still prefer Widsense because it gives AdSense stats of last three days and easily accessed because it is on OS X dashboard!

Run Internet Explorer 6 on Mac OS X

June 27th, 2006

Some people have successfully running Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) on Mac OS X via WINE. They use the installer script from IEs4Linux.

There was a clear step-by-step instruction to install IE on OS X. I tried but failed at the last step!

The WINE complains that it can’t find the FreeType library, and IEs4Linux complains that wineprefixcreate isn’t installed, as described by this guy.

Too bad. :(

Please inform me if you succeed to install IE on Mac OS X.

iDefrag - Defragmentation and Optimization for Mac OS X

June 26th, 2006

iDefragMicrosoft Windows always comes with a disk defragmentation software, but Mac OS X does not has such tool by default. According to Apple, Mac OS X does not need defragment. Is it truth? I bought iDefrag, an OS X defrag tool, and here is my review.

Description: Advanced Mac OS X disk defragmentation and optimization. Supports the very latest features of HFS+, including journaling, case sensitive filenames and adaptive hot file clustering (which means it won’t mess-up the Hot Zone). Ranked 5 stars on VersionTracker.

Price: USD32.00
